| | Bienvenue! Time to post some pictures from my adventures in Switzerland! Hopefully there will be more coming :) I left the Tyler airport Saturday at 6:50 am and began my 18 hour journey to Geneva. On my flight to Geneva, I sat next to a fun French girl who was about my age. She practiced speaking English with me, and I practiced speaking French with her! It was a great way to pass the time. I safely arrived in Geneva at 7:45 am after getting only a little bit of sleep on the plane. I went to church with my parents that evening and met some of their new friends. Afterwards we went out to dinner at Restaurant de la Croix Verte. It was delicious! The waiters were also very fun and friendly. They even helped my mom and I remember the names of the silverware in French. Our very own private French lesson :) By the end of dinner, however, I was ready to crash - I had been awake for almost 33 hours!
Sharing a delicious coconut dessert with my mom.
Unfortunately, while I arrived safely in Geneva, my luggage was not so lucky. Thus, on Monday I got to wear my mom's clothes while we walked around Nyon! haha :)
I was very excited to learn that they had found my bag in Newark and they sent it over on another flight. My luggage and I were reunited Monday evening. It was a very joyous occasion :)
The Easter Bunny came early in Switzerland for me. I was greeted with a bunny&duck in an Easter egg Swiss chocolate sculpture. It tasted even better than it looked!
Well, I will leave you with some views from my parent's new home. This is the view from the dining room. (Yes, it is a cemetary...but hey, the neighbors are quiet!)
Some pictures taken early this morning from the back porch. You can see Lake Leman in the background.
